intricate...

Hello all!  This week has been significantly better than last week, thank goodness…
We have family visiting, which means I've been lucky to have my hubby at home along with some great company.  Gracie is doing much better… and although she still has some swelling, it seems to be slowly subsiding.  I can't tell you how much I've truly appreciated all your well wishes.  And if that wasn't enough… this morning I discovered that I just made my esty front page debut!!  My bier garten print was featured in an Oktoberfest tribute… awesome timing & talk about a great way to start my day!  The weather here has been beautiful, and I'll be rounding out my week with a trip to the annual Hitscherhof Farm Festival, here in Germany.  I visited it for the first time last year, and I can't wait to go again!!  It's where I'll be buying all my pumpkins for my front walk, not to mention gobbling down on the best pumpkin soup I've EVER tasted…

now on to our photo of the week, and look at us!! posting early for a change…

hot off the press...

a little birdie flew in a much anticipated package!!  you see, my etsy shop has been slowly but surely coming together, and these are just a few of the pretties that are hot off the press…
it's taken a little longer than I had hoped, but I'm a little bit giddy that it's almost that time.  so make sure you stay tuned for the grand opening… I'll be posting some deals & steals you won't want to miss!

something to look forward to...

It's that time again, just the favorite part of my month!! The flea market (le sigh)...
where I go in search of those imperfect unloved items that I just can't live without.

First... grab a waffle (& slather whipped cream on thighs)
It's all right, there will be lots of walking... along with more snacking
& the occasional bier of course
(no worries that it is 7am... if grandma over there can handle it, so can I).
now, time to shop & put the rosetta stone to good use.

As I ooh & ahh,
my Hubby's voice enters my head... where are you going to put that??
I'll find a place!! I mean who doesn't need an old rusty, broken-down motor scooter?? (you honestly don't know how many ways I had to talk myself out of that one...
I did however snag some of those enamel numbers!)
ah my beloved green shutter...
see, you see peeling paint (quite possibly containing a bit of lead)
and I see future headboard.

and okay, you don't have to tell me... I sorta have a sick obsession,
and this isn't even all of them...
Oh Homburg Flea Market how I heart thee... tomorrow can't come soon enough.
So bundle up, it'll be a cold one, but I'll be there with bells on! See you there...
